Cheltenham Paint Festival

If any of you reading this have never visited Cheltenham - either during the annual paint festival itself (https://www.cheltenhampaintfestival.co.uk), or at any point - I'd urge you to do so if you can.  Every year the town is transformed with over 100 new murals big and small, and the festival itself has an absolutely magical vibe.

2024 - I had so much fun coming up with the design for this year - everyone always paints cows getting abducted by aliens, but why not bunnies??

And here's a little process slideshow so you can see how it all came together:

2023 - I painted two separate pieces this year - I was absolutely exhausted by the end of the weekend :D

My main piece - on the Honeybourne Line (near Waitrose) - my take on Tank Girl, looking super bad ass :)

more pics -a close up,  a WIP shot, the full tunnel, and my doggie friend!

My secondary piece - part of the top to toe street art and graffiti takeover of the Centre East multi storey car park (in the middle of town near the big John Lewis) - big thanks to Cheltenham Council for letting us all run riot in there for the whole weekend, it was a blast!!

A short (and foggy from all the paint fumes!) timelapse video from the second one:

2022

This year, I painted over my last CPF piece from 2 years ago (further down page) which was surprisingly still there and untagged!  The "tree tops" have been cut down though.

2020

My first ever paint festival appearance, I was so nervous :)  I painted Marvel's Man-Thing - holding the heart-shaped herb as a tribute to Chadwick Boseman whose passing we had just heard about a couple of days before the festival.
The "tree tops" were a lucky accident as I had already planned what I was going to paint before I was allocated this spot.
